The latest from Ruthie: Greetings from Essex!

Dear All,

When I sit and read your emails (and I promise I do) I am so knocked out by your generosity and kind words. I just wanted to thank you all for your support and also thank you for travelling, sometimes a long way, and often on a very tight budget, to see me perform. I'm sorry that I can't reply personally to every email, I would love to as they are so great, but being a mummy is all consuming - and as I only type with one finger, it would take all year!

I am currently taking a break from 8 shows a week to be with my girl, Lily, but am planning a DVD/album early this year. I will also be doing some Kurt Weill with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at the Proms in September so you will be seeing me even so.

I want to personally thank Adam, Michele and Mark for all their hard work on the website. If you haven't met them they are so fabulous (we don't write this ourselves, honest! - Ed.). I'm extremely lucky to have them on my side.

Happy New Year to all and may all your dreams come true - just believe and they will!
